Passenger in Vehicle Collision Suffers Fatal Injuries

Our client was a passenger in a vehicle traveling northbound, which was stopped waiting to make a left turn. The driver turned in front of a vehicle in the oncoming lane, causing a collision. Our client sustained fatal injuries in the impact.

WKW filed suit against the drivers of both vehicles and analyzed data from each vehicle’s automobile data event recorder, which is similar to the black box recorders used in commercial aircraft. These recorders track information that details the behavior of the drivers and vehicles in the events leading up to the collision. Using this information, we were able to establish that the oncoming driver was speeding at the time of the accident. WKW secured a settlement with both defendants for our client’s family within six months of the accident.
