Slow-Moving Semi Leads to Severe Leg Injuries

The plaintiff suffered severe leg injuries when he rear-ended a slow moving semi-truck at night on the Interstate. The semi-driver denied fault, claiming he was going the speed limit, and the police agreed. Through depositions and our accident reconstruction, we established that the semi was moving very slowly, which made it difficult for the driver to recognize the rapid-closing speed in time to avoid a collision. The case settled just sixteen months after we were retained and filed suit in federal court.
