Indianapolis Medical Malpractice Lawyers Indianapolis Medical Malpractice Lawyer Case Results Woman Awarded Settlement After Substandard Ankle Surgery
Request a Free ConsultationOur client’s doctor failed to perform an adequate evaluation to make a correct diagnosis. X-rays indicated there was no deformity, yet the doctor proceeded to perform unnecessary ankle surgery and performed that surgery in a substandard manner. Without any indication of adequate healing, the doctor proceeded to remove the external fixator meant to limit motion at 7.5 weeks, well before the bone was healed enough to allow weight-bearing. This directly led to improper healing and necessitated multiple injections and surgical interventions, including an ankle replacement. WKW was able to reach a settlement for our client, who suffered from substandard medical care for her ankle injury.
