Defective Handgun Results in Accidental Gunshot

WKW settled a case against a gun manufacturer for an allegedly defective hammer block mechanism. The handgun fired after our client accidentally dropped the gun, shooting our client in the leg. Guns are designed to not fire when accidentally dropped. WKW had the gun x-rayed at the gun lab and alleged that the block, which should keep the hammer from moving when dropped, was allowed to slip due to too wide of a block groove on the gun’s side plate.  WKW’s product defect allegations led to a recovery for our injured client.
