What Is the Indiana Patient’s Compensation Fund?

Transcript

The Indiana Patient’s Compensation Fund is a layer of protection for recovery of damages that would exceed a doctor’s or hospital’s layer of insurance coverage that they are responsible for, which is only $250,000.00. Any damage, typically, above $250,000.00 that can be proven to be warranted would come from this entity that we call the Indiana Patient’s Compensation Fund, which is administered by the Indiana Department of Insurance.
