While our office is in Indianapolis, Indiana, we’ve had many really delightful experiences representing folks from Delaware County over the years. My former partner Harry Wilson was an old Muncie Bearcat growing up. In fact, he was a senior in high school, and while many folks in Indiana look back fondly at the Milan Miracle and the Bobby Plump shot heard across the state, my partner never thought of it so fondly being an old Bearcat.
In the early 1980s, one of the earlier trials I had was in Delaware County. I was there for about a week and a half, and we had then what was the first million dollar insurance bad faith claim that went to jury and received that level of damages, my Delaware County folks.
Whenever I go back to Muncie to meet a client or to go to court, I always make an effort to stop by and see my Uncle Fred Kehoe, who was a football star at Ball State and then went on to be a coach offensive coordinator for many years and was kind enough to get me free tickets to the Ball State football games when I was in high school. It made quite a successful, cheap date. I always had a lot of good times going to see the Cardinals play.
