As a believer in helping the local community, WKW routinely supports and sponsors causes and charities throughout Indiana.

Girls Inc.

This year, WKW is proud to announce sponsorship of the Wayne County affiliate of Girls Inc., a non-profit national organization dedicated to the empowerment of girls and young women through education and advocacy. The majority of Girls Inc. centers are located in low–income areas and provide a weekly average of 30 hours of after school, weekend, and summer activities.

The organization has existed for over 150 years and continues to provide opportunities for girls and young women.

HELP the Animals Inc.

The firm also contributed to the 16th annual Bark in the Park walk for animals organized this summer by HELP the Animals Inc., a non-profit organization based in Richmond, Indiana dedicated to caring for cats and dogs who have been abandoned, neglected, or lost. The all-volunteer shelter has a no-kill policy and relies on donations to pay its annual operating cost.

HELP the Animials Inc. hosts events each year, including vaccination clinics and spay/neuter programs that allow pet owners to take advantage of these services at a reduced rate. They also host the annual Bark in the Park event, which features walking, grooming, and medical care for dogs and cats at a reduced rate. Additionally, the organization assists in the distribution of thousands of pounds of dog and cat food to other shelters in need of additional resources to feed the animals in their care and provides housing and straw in the winter to homes who care for outdoor or free-roaming pets.
