WKW saw an opportunity to help women who are victims of domestic abuse and took action. The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence supports shelters throughout the state of Indiana, where women who are victims can find temporary refuge and safety.

Televisions at each shelter needed digital conversion boxes so the women can continue to use them while they are housed in the shelters. Bruce Kehoe, WKW partner, donated 24 digital conversion boxes and made a cash donation on behalf of the firm. Mr. Kehoe said, “Our firm’s mission is to help injured people recover from accidents. We wanted expand on that to help these victims of domestic violence.”

Ms. Laura Berry Berman, Executive Director of the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, described the shelter as “a safe, caring place away from the emotional chaos of abuse. The television lets them relax and take their mind off the trauma they have suffered. We sincerely appreciate the help that Wilson Kehoe Winingham, LLC has given us and the victims that we support.”

Both The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and WKW thank WTHR-TV and Congressman Dan Burton for their role in putting this effort together.
