Sherri S. Kehoe, BSN, RN, LNCC, has been a legal nurse consultant with the law firm of Wilson Kehoe Winingham for thirty years. She works as a liaison between the legal and medial communities, brings health science education and clinical expertise to healthcare related issues in the litigation process, and analyzes and evaluates medical/legal issues in medical malpractice cases and damage/causation issues in personal injury, product liability, and aviation cases. She received her Associate Degree in Science and Nursing from Anderson College in 1976 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Indiana University in 1993.
Prior to her present position, Sherri worked as a clinical staff nurse at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center in Indianapolis, Indiana and Community Hospital in Anderson, Indiana and held an administrative position with Community Hospital. Some of her clinical nursing experience included working in medical-surgical areas such as post open heart surgery, orthopedics, infectious disease, some obstetrics, and with gynecology oncology patients.
She is a Past President of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and one of the authors for their core curriculum Principles and Practices of Legal Nurse Consulting. She has spoken on numerous occasions at hospitals and legal and nursing associations on medical record review/documentation and on the legal nurse consulting practice area. Sherri is a member of the Greater Indianapolis Chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, The American Nurses Association, The Indiana State Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International (Honor Society of Nursing), and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses. In 1999, she achieved the Legal Nurse Consulting certified designation and maintains her nursing specialty certification to date.
