IndyBar Foundation Honors the 2012 Class of Distinguished Fellows

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn Wednesday, May 30, 2012, The IndyBar Foundation held its first annual celebration honoring the 2012 Class of Distinguished Fellows and this year’s recipient of the $35,000 Impact Fund Grant.  Distinguished Fellows are individuals who have made significant contributions to the legal profession and are willing to continue to support the mission of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation: Advancing justice and leading positive change in Indianapolis through philanthropy, education and service.

This year’s Impact Fund Grant was awarded to Reach For Youth’s Teen Court program.  For over 30 years Reach For youth, Inc. has provided quality youth programming to Central Indiana youth and their families.  They provide counseling programs that address alcohol and drug addiction, depression, anger management, sexual violence and a nationally recognized Teen Court program that brings juvenile offenders and trained youth volunteers together to provide youthful offenders a second chance.  Their mission is: to empower Central Indiana youth and their families through prevention, intervention, counseling and youth development initiatives.
