  • Clean and check grill, propane hoses, and tanks regularly
  • Clean grill to prevent grease build-up
  • Never use water to extinguish grease or oil fires
  • Keep a fire extinguisher nearby
  • Keep the grill a minimum of 10 feet away from your house and trees
  • Do not grill on flammable surfaces or in an enclosed space
  • Avoid wearing loose clothing and use long handled utensils
  • Never leave a grill unattended
  • Douse coals with water before disposing
