W. Kent Winingham

About Kent

Kent Winingham earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2015, where he made the Dean’s List each year. Following law school, Kent practiced at a prominent personal injury firm in downtown Chicago. While Kent’s practice focused primarily on cases of nursing home neglect and abuse, he litigated a variety of personal injury and medical malpractice cases to trial.

Since moving back to Indianapolis to join WKW in 2017, Kent has tried multiple cases to positive outcomes. His verdicts include cases involving medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and motor vehicle collisions.

In his free time, Kent enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and his sisters and parents, being an uncle to his nieces and nephews, golfing, running, playing tennis, exploring Indianapolis, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Kent is licensed to practice in both Indiana and Illinois.

Bruce: The youthful energy and enthusiasm that Kent Winingham brings to the table when combined with that of Chris Stevenson and Jon Noyes, really gives us a great team with both experience and that energy that’s needed to advance our clients’ needs.

Bill: Kent brings a big city litigation experience to our firm here in Indianapolis because Kent started in Chicago.

Kent: Since moving back from Chicago, practicing here a few years now in Indianapolis, it really has been nice to be back in my hometown. I’ve always had a sense of Indiana and Indy has been with me when I’ve been gone and it’s really nice to be back here and working with the people that are here. Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and our son; I love being home and spending time with my family. I’m also a really active person–so I love to run, love to play golf, tennis, and love watching sports. I’m an avid sports fan, and I also like spending time with my parents who are here. It’s incredibly special to work with my dad.

Bill: We’ve talked so often over the years about our cases, and probably most importantly, about our clients. I think those conversations and growing up in a family with a lawyer will serve him well.

Kent: The reason I do this type of work is because I really like to be an advocate for someone who’s probably in a position they never expected to be in and trying to help them through what is maybe the most difficult time they’ve ever had in their life.
