Can an insurance company deny my claim?

Can an insurance company deny my claim? The short answer to this depends on the policy.  An insurance policy is a contract just like any other contract, and the terms of that contract govern the duties of each party.  So if, for example, you’re in an auto accident and the person who hit you allowed somebody to drive that didn’t have a license, and the insurance company says that it’s not going to cover accidents where the person doesn’t have a license, then yes, the insurance company can deny the claim.

It just really depends on what the insurance contract says and what the situation is. A lawyer will help  go over that kind of information and to help you determine whether it’s right for an insurance company to deny your claim.
