/ Blog/ Indiana Teen Narrowly Escapes Car-Semi Accident
Early in the morning of June 18th, 17-year-old Hannah Wade was driving west along I-70 when the front tire of her Nissan blew out. The car swerved, hit a guardrail, and came to a stop in the westbound passing lane near mile marker 19.
Wade got out of her car to call 911 as a passing semi driver stopped on the shoulder to offer assistance. She was trying to get her car off the road when another semi moved into the passing lane to avoid the stopped big rig, and struck her vehicle.
According to Indiana State troopers, mere seconds passed between the time the teen exited her car and the moment the second semi crashed into it. For more details on the crash, go .
