Where to Report Dangerous Intersections and Unsafe Roads in Indiana

Updated July 31, 2020 | By Wilson Kehoe Winingham staff

Some roadways and intersections are more dangerous than others, depending on the time of day, traffic patterns, and other factors.

Do you live near a dangerous intersection, or do you regularly drive by one on your commute? Don’t just wait for an accident to happen: Be vigilant, drive safe, and make a complaint.

Where to File a Report

The Indiana Division of Transportation (INDOT) takes complaints for all state roads as well as highways and interstates. If you have a concern with one of these roads, please call INDOT at 317.232.5333 or fill out an online concern form. Their site includes a list of local agencies to contact if the problem isn’t on a state road.

If you have a complaint about one of the city roads in Indianapolis, contact the Mayor’s Action Center by phone at 317.327.4622 or via the center’s website.
