What evidence can prove fault in a trucking accident?

Truck Accident FAQs

What kinds of evidence can be used to help prove fault in a trucking case?  First and foremost is ECM data or data contained in the truck’s black box. This data will show typically when the truck stopped, how hard it stopped, when the brakes were first applied, how fast it was moving, all of the information that can be helpful in looking back in time and piecing together what happened right before the collision took place.

Also we can use GPS data or Qualcomm data that will show the truck’s position and location. Driver logs are also helpful in terms of figuring out where the truck driver said he was, whether he was over time limits or time requirements. Those are all things that we would want to look to to try to determine what actually caused this truck collision to happen.
