A four year old boy in Indiana accidentally started a fire with a non-child-resistant lighter, resulting in disfiguring burns to his 18 month-old brother.  We filed suit in California, where laws are more favorable for a child resistant lighter, against the Japanese designer, Mexican Manufacturer and California distributor. After fighting successfully many challenges from the defendants in many courts, we favorably resolved the case in mediation.
