Ramada Inn Aircraft Accident
When an Air Force pilot attempted to land his crippled jet fighter-bomber at Indianapolis International Airport, the pilot missed the runway and left the jet to fly into the side of a nearby Ramada Inn, killing many and injuring more. We contended that the air force had been negligent in maintaining and monitoring the aircraft.
Indiana law would not allow recovery for many of the victims, so we filed suit in Nevada where the aircraft was maintained, and the cases were successfully settled under Nevada law.
